It's true, I'm not perfect. Not even close, so I created this section to list patterns with mistakes and updates. If you catch any errors that drive you crazy please send them to me at pinkfigpatterns@yahoo.com so I can post them here and fix them for the next printing.
Please be understanding and patient as I work out the kinks and work towards making my future patterns better. Your satisfaction is very important to me so please email me with your questions and concerns.
UPDATES AND TIPS: The Lily Top: Seam allowance is 3/8". If you find that your front piece doesn't match up exactly with the sleeves, it's okay and it can easily be fixed. When you sew the front piece to the back piece and the sleeves it may stick up a little bit past the top. You can fix this by simply trimming a little of the top. Once you sew the rolled the hem around the neck line and shir it it will all blend together. If you find that is is slightly off in other places you can do the same thing because again, the shirring will blend it. Lydia Dress TIP: seam allowance: 1/4" . Some have mentioned that it is fitting kind of tight. This may be due to how close your rows of shirring are together. The closer the rows are the tighter it will fit. Try spacing them out a little more. Natty Jacket and Vest: On the Supply List for the ruffle and collar, If you are making them out of the same fabric you will need 1/2yd of fabric. If you are making them out of different fabrics you will need 3/8yd for the ruffle and 1/4yd for the collar. The Mia Top: Supply List: Sizes 1 to 5 years calls for 1/4 yard fabric for the sleeves. You will need 1/3 yard in order to make the 3/4 length sleeves. Sweet Heart Pants Supply List Update: For pants sized 12 months to 3 years you need 1 and 1/3 yd of fabric.
CORRECTIONS:
The Girly Stripwork Skirt: Seam allowance is 1/4" . If your pattern has the picture below on the front page of the instructions you already have the edited the version:
On the older version that goes up to a size 7 (first printing) there was a slight mis-calculation with the hemband so I have created a new chart for that. Please email me for a new chart. In steps #7 and #8 I am instructing on how to attach the waistband to the skirt. In step #8 by the pictures I accidentally wrote 'hemband' instead of 'waistband'. So if you just subsitute the word waistband for hemband those steps will make sense. I can also email you this page with the corrections so you can insert it into your pattern. CuppyCake Dress: Updated: March 7, 2009 Step 2b. It says to place the straps 1/8" away from the corners on the bodice. This placement should be 1/4" away from the corners of the top of the bodice. When this pattern was printed for some reason it stretched the bodice making i 1/2" taller than it should be. In order for the bodice to match up with back piece you will need to make the following changes to the Bodice Back Piece: Cut 1: 12m: 14"wide x 2 1/2"high 2T: 15"wide x 3 1/4"high 3T: 16"wide x 3 1/2"high 4T: 17"wide x 4"high 5T: 18"wide x 4 1/4"high 6Y: 19"wide x 4 3/4"high 7Y: 20"wide x 5"high 8Y: 22"wide x 5 1/4"high 10Y: 23"wide x 5 3/4"high Mish Mash Skirt: CLICK HERE ScrapBook Jeans and T-shirt: On the illustration guide for the Sweatshirt Skirt there is a centerfold marking that should not bet here. It may cause confusion on whether or not the skirt pieces should be cut on the fold. They should NOT be cut on the fold. On the measurement chart for the Bias tape casing for the chest, it says to cut it 3" high. It should say cut it 1.5" high ROXY and LOLA RAGDOLLS: CLICK HERE
